Dr. Jagpreet Singh Sandhu
Professor Jagpreet Singh Sandhu did his masters in Orthodontics and Dento-facial Orthopaedics from RGUHS University in 2000. Presently he is heading the department of Orthodontics and Dento-facial Orthopaedics, Genesis Institute
of Dental Sciences & Research, Ferozepur. He has a vast teaching experience and has been a postgraduate guide for the last 2 years.
He has a research experience of 13 years and has published 16 peer reviewed papers in national & international journals. He has participated in and organized various scientific workshops, seminars and conferences of
national and international level.
He is a member of Indian orthodontic society and a founder convener of Punjab orthodontic study group. He is also a fellow of world federation of orthodontists and an international member of American Association of
Orthodontists. Dr. Sandhu is a member of national academy of medical sciences.
Dr. Simarpreet Virk Sandhu
Professor Simarpreet Virk Sandhu did her masters in Oral Pathology from RGUHS University in 2000. Presently she is heading the department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology; Genesis Institute of Dental Sciences & Research, Ferozepur.
She has a vast teaching experience and has been a postgraduate guide for the last 2 years.
She has a research experience of 13 years and has published 25 peer reviewed papers in national & international journals. Has
been an Invited Guest Speaker in The National Seminar held at PU on 22nd March 2010 and at the 32nd ISPPD Conference being held at Amritsar from 12th-14th November; 2010 and participated in and organized scientific workshops,
seminars and conferences of national and international level.
Research interest over the years has focused on Oral Cancer: epidemiology, ethnic variation, etiology and early detection and various forms of tobacco consumption
with special interest in gutkha & hookah. Has been the Principal Investigator in a research project from 2007- till date Prevalence of Tobacco related oral lesions in truck drivers and helpers in North-Western Indian region
and Chief Investigator in research collaboration in an observational Epidemiological study on Epithelial Aero digestive Cancer in collaboration with Dr Athanasios Zavras & Dr Mandeep Virk (USA) 2010-2012.
In 2011 contributed
to the textbook authored by Vimal K Sikri. Has been an executive member of Indian Association of Maxillofacial Pathologists twice. Various memberships include: Nominated member of NAMS (National Academy of Medical Sciences);
